Tammie Wilson Appointed to House Seat

Tammie Wilson today (Tuesday) was named  to replace John Coghill in the state House District Eleven seat.  Coghill resigned earlier this month to fill a vacancy in the Senate.

In announcing his selection of Wilson,  Governor Parnell said when he interviewed her for the job, he was impressed  with her focus on the people she would be representing. .

I was very impressed with her commitment to the people,  her willingness to take a stand for them, her willingness to respect and protect the rights of private property owners, her statewide perspective when it comes to fiscal issues.  She has a great history for standing up for the people of the interior.

Wilson currently is a member of the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly and unsuccessfully ran for Borough Mayor earlier this month.
