The Parnell administration says the state’s gasline project is working as well as – or better than – intended. A report sent to legislators over the weekend and made public this morning (Tuesday) says the working relationship between the state licensee, TransCanada, and Exxon-Mobil has had a positive effect on the development of a plan that will go out to possible shippers in May.

Fuel is On The Way
The Parnell administration is continuing its push to make certain that there is enough fuel available for rural Alaska this year. The most recent Fuel Watch report by the Division of Community and Regional Affairs show that all but twenty four of the six hundred six buyers of bulk fuel have made arrangement to have an adequate supply for the winter months.

Parnell the Optimist
Governor Parnell says he’s still optimistic about the completion of a gas line from the North Slope to North American markets. He said he’s been meeting with companies that could use the project – and he says he doesn’t see any reason for changing the statutory terms at this point.
