Heun is Confirmed

Alaska has a new U-S Marshal. Former Anchorage Police Chief Rob Heun was confirmed in the job by the U-S Senate today.   He was approved by unanimous consent after sitting on the Senate’s calendar for a week and a half.

Alaska Democratic Senator and former Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich suggested Heun for the job to the Obama Administration.    Begich had complained last week that Republicans were holding up Heun’s confirmation vote in the Senate.
